Dr Donna Lahood MBCHB,FRNZCGP
just a quick introduction of myself. I graduated at Auckland Medical School in 1988 and have loved working in General Practice for the last 24 years. I have 2 adult children: my son is also a Doctor, my daughter talented in Graphic Design and Marketing. I have been very lucky to have worked with my husband of 30 years, a Physiotherapist, as Medical Team for Emirates Team New Zealand, some Volvo Ocean Race Campaigns, and the 2008 Beijing Olympics Sailing Team. I love being part of a team at home, at work and with patients. I feel it is always an honour and a privilege to be part of my patient’s lives and assist in maximising care of both body and mind.
Dr Ssu-Yu (Suei) Lin. MBCHB
Suei is a graduate of The University of Auckland Medical School. She grew up in Christchurch and has been living in Auckland since completing university. She has special interests in preventative health care and women’s health. She is qualified to do Jadelle and intrauterine (IUD) insertions.
We welcome Suei to full time (Monday to Friday including Tuesday evening) practice at Elstree Ave family Drs.
She is taking on new patients, and would love to get to know you all.
Dr Dickson Fung MBChB, MSc (Dist.), MRNZCGP
Dickson grew up in Auckland and graduated from the University of Auckland Medical School. He is passionate about all areas of general practice, and has a special interest in sports and exercise medicine and health issues affecting musicians and performers (Performing Arts Medicine), having completed additional postgraduate study in this field in the United Kingdom. Outside of medicine, Dickson regularly performs as a violinist and is an avid tennis player.
Maureen Edwards NZRN
I have been nursing for over 40 years. My empathy compassion and passion is as strong as the day I began. Growing up my Mother was confined to a wheel chair, this has given me extraordinary insight empathy and a wonderful sense of humour. My goals are to empower patients with my knowledge and expertise to lead happy healthy lives.
Senberani (Lulu) Padotan NZRN
I am South African born and have two adult sons; my eldest qualified as a Biomedical Engineer and my youngest is a 3rd year apprentice builder. My hobbies include: weekly Zumba workouts, Aqua jogging, gardening and walking to raise funds for organizations that support and care for people diagnosed with Cancer. I balance these activities by practicing Mindfulness and Meditation.
I bring to Elstree Ave Family Drs 31 years of Nursing experience. Due to my commitment to primary care I went on to pursue several years of study at The University of Auckland, graduating with a Diploma in Health Sciences, specializing in Nursing leadership and Long Term Conditions and then a Post Graduate certificate in Advance Health Sciences specializing in Diabetes. I also completed a short course in Mental Health and Addictions Credentialing Program for Primary care.
I am passionate about empowering patients to take charge of their health and wellbeing and become self managers. I enjoy positive therapeutic relationships with patients and their Whanua. I look forward to supporting our community in improving health outcomes and maintaining good Hauora.
Alison Drennan Practice Manager
I worked at Elstree Ave Family Doctors for 14 years. Starting out as the receptionist and progressing to the position
of practice manager. I’ve lived with my husband in the area for 20 years with our two daughters. In my leisure time I
enjoy scrap booking, gardening, reading and walking.
Receptionist Tracey May
I have worked at the Doctors for three years as a Medical Receptionist, I really enjoy the family environment and variety of the role and meeting people.
I have many years experience in various administration roles, including working in London. I have three children, two at School and one at University. In my leisure time I enjoy spending time with my family, running, gardening and reading
Receptionist Tania Webb
Kia Orana, having recently joined the team at Elstree Ave Family doctors I bring with me many years of customer service roles, from working in the airlines, as a junior interior designer and an administrator in an early childhood centre. I love being part of a community practice that strives to provide excellent service to our patients/whanau. I have a son who attends college and has an active sporting life for which I provide support, rides to and from venues and food! We regularly travel back to our homeland of Rarotonga to visit my family and in my spare time I endeavour to get out walking, catch up with friends and family and relax by catching up on my favourite programmes on TV.
